Dylan & Ashton

The twins at their very first pumpkin patch visit!

Dylan & Ashton

Pumpkin carving party!

We had our yearly pumpkin carving party, at it was great! We had 26 people this year, it just keeps growing and growing. We had a great day with all the family together. We had a good meal, lots and lots of snack ems', and GREAT desserts. What more can you ask for?! And lots of awsome jack-o-lanters were carved.

Dylan & Ashton

Dylan & Ashton at their first visit to the pumpkin patch. They got to see the animals, go on a hike, get little pumpkins, and watch their big brother go on all the slides. I think their favorite part was the stop at the snack shack for bottle time. *laugh* They also liked sitting in the pumpkin bin. They were the cutest little punpkin patch kids there!

What is missing??

We have a problem with keeping socks on. But it wasn't until today that I noticed, Dylan always takes his left sock off, and Ashton always takes his right sock off. In this picture they had taken both slippers and socks off. Well I guess if they loose them we will still have a left and right sock to make a pair.*Funny*

That is mine!!!

I am starting to think that Dylan may be a bit of a bully. The story with this picture is that Ashton had the frog, Dylan took it and Ashton looked at him like hey that was mine. I then gave Ashton the bug, yup you guessed it Dylan took that too. Well now lets fast forward 5 minutes to where Ashton has done his crab crawl and spun himself around, he kicks Dylan in the head, Dylan cries, I put them back side by side, they stare at each other for a moment then Ashton reaches out and graps Dylan's dinky right out of his mouth. Really you just have to laugh at them sometimes. They are really starting to interact and show preferances in what they want to play with, and it would seem they always want what the other has. I think I will be dealing with this for many years to come.

Hmmm a bit crabby

They both have very different personalities but one thing they have in common is that grumpy scrunched up eyebrow thing they do. *laugh* They get that from their daddy for sure. Looks like they are trying to tell me a thing or two.

Ashton & Ethan

Ashton loves cuddles from his big brother Ethan.

Kong & the twins

We can't leave out Kong out of the blog, he is a family member too. He spends most his days laying next to babies. He is starting to get kicked, pinched, and his hair pull, but he understands they are just babies and sits and takes the abuse. Poor puppy. Well I don't think he minds he keeps coming back for more. Usually he doesn't wander to far from the twins, only in the middle of the night when they wake up crying he heads for Ethan's room and goes to sleep, not to return until silence has been restored in our room.

Why do they call me turtle??

This is why we call our little Ashton turtle boy. He stretches his neck out and makes that cute little face and just reminds me of a little turtle poking his head out of the water. Awwwww.

Sitting Pretty

Well the twins are working on their sitting skills. They are doing pretty good just need a little help with their balance, but as you can see it isn't bothering them. They laugh when they tumble down, and mom just picks them up and we take another go at it.

Jack-O-Lanterns

Last year we had all the kids line up to show off their pumpkins, shut the lights off, and let 'em glow. Good idea Jeff!

Jack-o-lanterns

Here is a picture from last years pumpkin carving party. They are all a glow on the kids' faces. Good idea Jeff!!! Looking forward to next weekend to do all over again but we will need to carve 2 extra pumpkins this year. *smile*

Pumpkin Carving

After all the pumpkin seeds and goo, we are left with all of our pumpkin creations. Every year for the last 8 years we have had the nieces and nephews together to make a jack-o-lantern. I can remember the first year it was just my 2 nieces and Ethan, all in diapers. We did it in the kitchen that year, oh boy what a mess, we had a trail of pumpkin seeds from the kitchen to the tub. So cute, it was so much fun I have to do it each year. But now there are 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and and my 3 boys (Ethan, Dylan, & Ashton) wow have we grown. The more the merrier. You can bet I will be posting the pictures, but until then here is a previous years.

Dylan

Dylan sat and waited patiently for his turn to eat , or play in the carrots. He wasn't quite as messy as twin brother was. But he also went straight to the bath.

Ashton

I ate the whole jar of carrots!! Or did I? Well the jar was empty, but I am thinking Mr. Ashton is playing in and wearing at least a quarter of the jar. Straight to the tub we went.
